Group Sales Team "Team Fun" Mary Catherine, Charlie & Tamsin

Mary Catherine, aka “Skater Girl” (Left)

A long time Lake Placid Resident, Mary Catherine spent her youth figure skating in the rinks of the Olympic Center.  She knows just about everyone in Lake Placid!

MC has been planning events for the last 17 years and is well known as the “face of ORDA”.  Her planning and execution of events is second to none and she can put together anything from a luxurious cocktail reception to bus tours of our fantastic Olympic venues.  With a trusted group of local celebrity athletes who are always happy to support in making your event special, Mary Catherine is able to connect with everyone. She quickly becomes a favorite aunt to kids with her activities and adventures adapted for every age group.

Tamsin, aka “Stix” (Center)

Tamsin was an equestrian athlete (dressage and showjumping) and an IT professional until she discovered hockey! She attended the Miracle on Ice Fantasy Camp in Lake Placid in 2017 and basically never left.  She is our South African transplant and is admin, organizer, planner, and general do anything and everything kind of person.

Charlie, aka “The Ice Man” (Right)

Charlie has lived in the North Country most of his adult life, he has had an amazing career in the hospitality industry.  His 30 years of educational experience in restaurant management brings a dynamic insight to our team.

Charlie is our event coordinator and Legacy Adventure ambassador, tour guide extraordinaire; he loves to share his knowledge and experiences and is equally at ease with professional corporate groups or young students with enquiring minds!

Group Inquiries

We can’t stop raving about our wonderful experiences with Lake Placid Legacy Adventures this past summer. Mary Catherine, Tamsin, and Charlie are a great team, and they put together tons of fascinating tours and activities for our cyclists. We cannot wait to return next year
Simon Burrows, Owner, Great Bike Tours
Our group has done two trips, and both have been awesome. The planning and execution of the experience was seamless. As a trip coordinator, I felt that I could enjoy the day knowing that there was a great team handling the details. Being able to go “behind the curtain” was a highlight- our students felt like VIP’s!
Leigh-Anne, Education Specialist, SUNY Potsdam
The highlight of the summer for our 12 year old campers each summer is the time they spend at Lake Placid. They not only adore exploring the village, but they love taking part in all of the different activities they get to explore thanks to the Lake Placid Legacy Sites. The Lake Placid Legacy Adventures team is easy to work with and wonderful when working with our group in person. We can’t recommend them highly enough.
Jed Dorfman, Director, Camp Walt Whitman
Our 10th-grade campers have loved their annual summer trip to the Olympic Village. Both interesting and exciting. The Lake Placid Legacy Adventures team provides so much help designing our annual program.
