The Olympic Authority is working to schedule additional events, including speed skating, ski jumping, biathlon, and alpine skiing. Updates will be issued as events are confirmed.
As illustrated above, Can/Am Hockey, CHE, LPYAA, Northwood School, and other youth hockey organizations have another busy season planned at the Olympic Center. The Can/Am Hockey tournament season kicks off Oct. 19-22, with tournaments often running Thursday through Sunday and attracting about 40 teams per event.
As released in April, the Olympic Authority had record visits of more than one million to its venues during the 2022-2023 year that concluded on March 31. The record-breaking numbers come in the wake of the completion of multiple capital projects that upgraded and modernized each of the Olympic Authority’s venues. The improvements have made for a stronger guest experience while also making it possible to host year-round activities and major international winter sporting events.
“While we never lost an operating season when we were under construction, we look forward to the 2023/24 year without the challenges,” stated Michael Pratt, President & CEO. “We are in demand, and we are seeing the return – our future is very bright.”
