A week filled with events, will kick off with the Lake Placid Athlete Parade on Thursday, March 24 at 5:30 pm.
Join us in welcoming home returning Beijing Olympians, regional Olympians, athletes in town for March events, Olympic hopefuls, plus see the LPCMHS Marching Band, police, fire vehicles and more. Parade begins at 1 Main Street and ends at the Oval. Athlete line-up is at 5:15 pm.

- The NCCA Division III Men’s Ice Hockey Championship returns Friday, March 25 and Saturday, March 26 and will take place at the newly revitalized 1980 Herb Brooks Arena in the Olympic Center. Tickets are on sale here. The semi final games take place Friday night. Adrian faces off against Augsburg at 3:00 pm and SUNY Geneseo faces off against University of New England at 6:30 pm. The winners of those games face-off Saturday night at the Championship Game at 7:00 pm.
- On March 25 and 26, the FIS Continental Cup Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined comes to Mt Van Hoevenberg and the Olympic Jumping Complex. In addition to bringing the world’s best to the area to compete, this is also one of the first FIS women’s ski jumping competitions to take place in the U.S. since 2009. Tickets for Ski Jumping at the Olympic Jumping Complex are on sale now here and spectating at Mt. Van Hoevenberg is free.

- March 25 through 27, the U.S. Biathlon National Championships will bring the best junior, senior and para biathlon athletes to utilize the new biathlon stadium at Mt. Van Hoevenberg, in the first time that these have been held here since 1996. All races are free for spectators. Come to Mt Van Hoevenberg to watch the competition and enjoy lunch at the all new 81-18 Café.
