The Lake Placid Legacy Site venues of Whiteface, Mt Van Hovenberg, Olympic Jumping Complex & the Olympic Center will play host to the Empire State Winter Games (ESWG), a community-driven event, courtesy of a partnership between the Adirondack Sports Council (ADKSC); the towns of North Elba, Wilmington, Tupper Lake, Harrietstown, and Brighton; the villages of Lake Placid, Tupper Lake, Paul Smiths, Wilmington, and Saranac Lake; the counties of Essex and Franklin; Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism (ROOST) and the New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA).

This event celebrates athletes, winter, and the Adirondacks. Athletes from ages 8-80 will compete in 25 winter sports, including sliding sports, figure skating, speed skating, hockey, sled hockey, alpine skiing, nordic skiing, freestyle skiing, jumping, winter bike, and more!

With three days of competitions, an opening ceremony, and a 700-mile torch relay, the ESWG is a destination event for the whole family!
