Aerial ski jumping combines acrobatics with skiing in an impressive test of skill and grace, and development athletes from all over the East are currently training in Lake Placid at the OJC.  Skiing down a plastic surface off a “kicker,” these adept athletes try out new skills for the first time landing into an oversized pool with bubbles to soften their landing.  Aerialists also practice their flips, twists and turns on trampolines, situated right next to the jumps.  No matter the maneuver, these athletes are fun to watch as they dare to perform the most difficult skills.
